NOV 16 & DEC 2: Test Correction and Reflection

On Tuesday 26th, November and Monday 2nd, December we corrected our tests and then spent time reflecting on some of the major concepts we have looked at and what they REALLY mean to us as students of history. If you were absent, please do the following to make up what you missed:

IMPORTANT: There is no NEW homework for the holiday. Just enjoy yourself; however, if you have been absent or are otherwise missing work it would be a great time to get caught up!

NOV 22 & 25: Test Unit 4

On Friday 22nd and Monday 25th, November we took our test on Unit 4 and turned in our Unit 4 Portfolio. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

ALL WORLD HISTORY CLASSES:
1) Turn in your Unit 4 portfolio. (If you are an AP student, you will also need to turn your timeline for Unit 4.)
2) Schedule a time to make up the Unit 4 Test. You will need about 50 mins to do so.

NOV 20-21: Review for Unit 4

On Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st, November we  corrected some assignments and got ready for our test next time. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

2) Please make sure your portfolio checklist is up to date and organized as it is listed on the checklist.

NOV 18-19: Making a Timeline

On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19, November we made a timeline of the period we are studying. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

AP WORLD HISTORY:
1) Make sure your mural of the Atlantic Slave Trade is complete and turn it in ASAP.
2) Download the following assignment and collect the dates of the events. You will use those dates to make you time line. Please read the instructions carefully!

IMPORTANT: Come see me for the large timeline paper. You may use your own paper to make the actual timeline if you prefer.
3) This timeline will be due next time.

NOV 14-15: The Atlantic Slave Trade

On Thursday 14th and Friday 15th, November we looked at the Atlantic Slave Trade. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

NOV 8 & 11: European Exploration and the Columbian Exchange

On Friday 8th and Monday 11th, Nov. we went over our homework for the last couple of times, watched a video, listened to student presentations, and discussed our next essay. If you were absent, you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

AP WORLD HISTORY:
1) Please make sure your homework from last times are completed, Reading Guides 4.2, 4.2b, & 4.3.
2) Watch the following video and take at least 12 notes on each video on new things you learn. You should use a separate piece of paper titled, European Exploration & the Columbian Exchange

3) Unfortunately, you will not be able to hear the presentations created by the other students, but you MUST make sure yours is complete and shared with me.
4) Your homework will be to write an essay. You will be writing a Turning Point essay and use the following prompt and rubric. Remember your essay must be a minimum of 2 pages but no more than 3 pages. Due Tuesday 12th, Nov. and it will be individually graded!

On Thursday 7th, Nov. we watched a video on European Exploration and had the pleasure of listening to some student presentations. If you were absent you will need to do the following to make up what you missed:

2) Watch the following video and on a separate piece of paper, title it European Exploration, take at least 12 notes on things you learn. Focus on things that are new to you and not things you already know.
