First Day and Introduction

On Mon. 19th and Tuesday 20th, Aug. we had our first day of class. The format was the same for both AP and History 10. If you missed the first day, please read this post carefully to see what you need to do to make up. Here is what we did:

1) Told a joke about a teacher meeting St. Peter.
2) Took about 10 minutes to introduce myself.
3) Went over the seating chart.
4) Went over the disclosure.
4) Had everyone write a one page free write on "What have I learned from the study of history?"
5) Shared ideas on how we answered that question.
6) Checked out textbooks.
7) Passed out the first homework to both World History 10 & AP students. Click the appropriate link below to download the homework.

AP World History Homework - Reading Guide 1.1

World History 10 - Reading Guide Unit 1.1 (China Reunified)

So, if you were absent, you will need to get a disclosure which can be found on the right hand of this blog under important documents. Make sure you get the right one for your class (AP or World History 10). Write a one page response to the question "Why is it important to study history?" and bring that to me ASAP. Come see me for a textbook and the homework.

Thank you.
